Horizon Europe BeBOP project
Methanol is essential in the chemical sector, but most of it is produced from fossil fuels, leading to significant CO2 emissions. Biomass presents a sustainable alternative. However, current processes are inefficient and release carbon back into the atmosphere as CO2. The EU-funded BeBOP Project (01/10/2024-30/09/2028) aims to develop an innovative biomass-to-methanol plant that could revolutionise the methanol industry.
Horizon Europe WASTEWISE project
Horizon Europe WASTEWISE project (01/11/2024-30/04/2028), aligned with the European Green Deal and Farm-to-Fork strategy, aims to reduce food waste to promote a fair, healthy, and eco-friendly food system. Using a holistic approach across the food supply chain, it measures environmental impacts, proposes evidence-based measures, and encourages sustainable consumption and poverty alleviation. EU CORE, with its leading role as Project Coordinator, is involved in this project along with 8 other partners from 6 different Countries.
